Mill Pond Cottage
Mill Pond Cottage is in Cromford, right by the mill pond in the middle of the village. You can sit and watch the ducks and geese on the water. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Everything's included, like bedding and towels. There's a washing machine. Parking is right there.
The shop and a pub are about fifty yards away. There's a restaurant a bit further on. All walking distance.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District here. Walks start from the door. You can go up to the Black Rocks, or along the High Peak Trail. Cromford Mills and the canal are a short stroll. Carsington Water is about a ten minute drive if you want sailing or birdwatching.
Matlock Bath is a mile away. Matlock town is two miles for shops. Bakewell is about twenty minutes by car. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both within half an hour's drive.
