Keepsake View

Keepsake View is a bungalow in Darley Dale, just outside Matlock. It's all on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem.

It sleeps eight. There are three double bedrooms, a bathroom, and a separate wet room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after, not a show home.

The main thing is the view. The living room and the conservatory look straight out over the Derwent Valley towards Oker Hill. It's a proper panoramic view, nothing in the way.

You're a few minutes' drive from Matlock. The village here has a Co-op, a couple of cafes, and a bar-restaurant. There's a pub about 400 yards away. The garden is enclosed.

For things to do, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. Walking and cycling from the door is easy. For something bigger, Peak District National Park has all the routes. Matlock Bath is ten minutes down the road. It's got the cable cars up to the Heights of Abraham, an aquarium, and Gulliver's Kingdom for kids.

Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are about a fifteen minute drive. Bakewell, with its pudding shop, is maybe twenty minutes. Carsington Water is close for sailing and cycling. The historic sites at Cromford are also nearby.

Facilities: there's parking, a wood burner, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
