This is Henrys Haunt. It's one of the cottages at Harthill Hall, which is in Alport in the Peak District. It's a historic place. They say Henry VIII stayed here once.
The cottage is for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. The walls are stone, the floors are flagstone, and there are oak beams. It's the sort of place that feels solid.
You're part of a courtyard with a few other cottages. The whole site has 14 acres of grounds. There's an indoor heated swimming pool and a sauna you can use.
Outside your door, you're straight into walking country. The Peak District National Park website has all the maps and routes. Bakewell is about three and a half miles away for shops and cafes. There's a pub a mile away.
Chatsworth House is close. So is Haddon Hall. For National Trust places, you've got Hardwick Hall and Longshaw Estate within about half an hour's drive.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, and an enclosed garden patio area. Bedding and towels are included. We accept one dog. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
