Lathkill Cottage
Lathkill Cottage is in Over Haddon in the Peak District. It's part of Burton Manor Farm, which is a working dairy farm. You'll see cows. They sometimes come up to the fence.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's clean and well looked after, not just a basic box. There's parking right outside.
The cottage is on a slope. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the garden and patio area are on a different level.
You get your own garden with a patio. It looks out over the fields. It's quiet. Fresh milk is provided when you arrive, which is nice.
Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included.
You can bring up to three dogs. There are other cottages here too, so you might see other guests, but it's not crowded.
The village pub is about a mile and a half walk. It does food. The town of Bakewell is a bit further, maybe two miles. You can walk it if you're up for it, or drive in five minutes.
From the door, you can walk straight down to the River Lathkill and Lathkill Dale. It's a beautiful spot. For a longer walk, Monsal Head is close by. Chatsworth House is about a twenty minute drive.
