Brooklands Farm is in Youlgreave. It's an old stone farmhouse. The main thing is the view, which looks out over open fields. Nothing's in the way, it's just fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but it's not a show home. It's a proper old farmhouse. The walls are thick and some of them curve. You'll notice.
There's a wood burning stove in the living room and an open fire in the dining room. The kitchen and bathroom are modern, which is handy. The garden is at the front. It gets the sun all day, so it's a good spot to sit.
You can walk straight from the door. It's about a ten minute walk down into Bradford Dale and Lathkill Dale. The village centre is a few minutes walk the other way. There are three pubs and a couple of shops there.
For a day out, Bakewell is about ten minutes by car. Chatsworth House is about twenty five minutes. You can be in the heart of the Peak District National Park very quickly from here.
In terms of what's there: it has a washing machine, TV, parking for one car, and an enclosed garden. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well behaved dog is welcome.
