Mill Race Cottage is in Bakewell. It's a stone cottage on the edge of the town centre, about a five minute walk to the market square. The river Wye runs past the end of the garden.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place was fully renovated a few years ago so it's clean and works well, but it's still a cottage. The ceilings are low in places.
You're right in the Peak District. The Monsal Trail starts about a mile away, which is good for easy walking or cycling. You can walk from the door into the town or along the river.
Bakewell has the basics. There's a Co-op, bakeries, butchers, that sort of thing. Market day is Monday. The closest pub is about 170 yards away. There are a few restaurants nearby.
Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are both about a 15 minute drive. They're the big local attractions. Peak District National Park has all the walking information you might need.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Wifi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. No pets.
