The Old Stables is a converted barn I look after in Over Haddon. It's in a little courtyard with a few other cottages, and it's quiet. It looks out over fields at the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is about right. It's clean and comfortable. The stable doors are nice. The beams are low in a couple of places, so mind your head if you're tall.
You can walk straight out from the door into the countryside. Lathkill Dale is just down the hill. The village has a good pub and a decent café. Bakewell is about five minutes in the car for shops and the famous pudding.
It's a good spot for the main things around here. Chatsworth House is about a 15 minute drive. Haddon Hall is even closer. The Monsal Trail for cycling is nearby, maybe 10 minutes by car.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
