The Old Stables is in Over Haddon, a small village in the Peak District. It's one of six cottages around a shared courtyard. The main house is a 16th century manor farm next door.
It's a converted barn, sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There are beams. The stairs are wooden and a bit steep, typical for a barn conversion.
You get views from the main bedroom's stable door, looking out over the fields. The bathroom has a spa bath.
You can walk straight out of the door into the countryside. Lathkill Dale is on the doorstep. The village has a pub and a good café.
Bakewell is about five minutes away by car. They've got the market and the pudding shops. Chatsworth House is about a fifteen minute drive. Haddon Hall is closer, maybe ten minutes.
For cycling, the Monsal Trail is nearby. There's rock climbing and horse riding in the area too.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets.
