Heather House

Heather House is a stone cottage a ten minute walk from the middle of Bakewell. It's detached, on its own, so there are no neighbours through the walls. You've got parking right outside.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been done up recently.

The garden is south facing and enclosed, which is good for sun and for kids or a dog if you have one. There's a summerhouse and some sun loungers out there.

Bakewell itself is busy, especially on market days. Lots of shops and places to eat. For walks, you can head down to the river, or go up to the old railway station to get onto the Monsal Trail. That's good for a flat walk or a bike ride. You can walk to Chatsworth from here if you don't mind a proper hike.

For a day out, Castleton is about half an hour's drive. So are Buxton and Matlock Bath. Alton Towers is under an hour if that's your thing.

Inside, it's got what you'd expect: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a TV. It's available over Christmas.
