Harthill Barn

This is Harthill Barn. It's part of Harthill Hall in Alport, which is near Bakewell in the Peak District. The place used to be a proper country estate, so you're staying in a converted barn. It's got thick stone walls, flagstone floors, low beams, all that. Each of the six bedrooms has its own bathroom, which is handy with a big group.

It sleeps up to ten. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped rather than just basic. You can bring up to three dogs.

The main thing here, apart from the building itself, is the grounds. You've got about fourteen acres to walk around. There's also an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, and a games room on the estate that you can use.

The location is good for walks straight from the door. The nearest pub is about a mile away in Youlgrave. Bakewell is three and a half miles for shops and cafes. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both about a fifteen minute drive. There are plenty of National Trust places around too, like Longshaw and Dovedale.

For facilities, you've got pretty much everything. Wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, included bedding and towels. There's parking on site, an electric vehicle charger, and a garden. They provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
