Corner Cottage
Corner Cottage is in Bakewell, centre of town basically. It's a two up two down. You get nice views from the windows, over the church and the hills.
It's a four star place, which makes sense. It's comfortable, good quality, but not sprawling or massive. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom has both a bath and a walk in shower.
The stairs are steep and cottage-y, and they're original. You mentioned them, which is right. They're fine for anyone used to old houses. If you're not, just watch your step.
You're right by everything. Shops are two hundred yards maybe, the pub is closer. It's handy.
Good walking from the door, straight out into the fields. For a drive out, places like Dovedale and Monsal Head are maybe fifteen minutes. Peak District National Park site has walking routes. Chatsworth House is a short drive. So is Haddon Hall. Both are good for a visit.
Facilities: there's a wood burner, which we keep stocked. Dishwasher, wifi, TV. All bedding and towels are included. There's local golf and horse riding. No pets.
