The Barn at Grislow Field is on our working farm near Curbar. It's a converted barn, so it's a solid stone building. You're right on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. Everything is on one level inside, which is handy.
You get the place to yourselves. It's private, but we're in the farmhouse next door if you need anything. The views from the French windows are good, just fields and sky. There's a wood burner for cooler nights.
You can walk straight out from the door. There are footpaths across our land that link up to the wider network. Curbar Edge is just up the road. The village has a pub and a cafe. Baslow is a short walk the other way, where you'll find more shops and places to eat.
Chatsworth House is about ten minutes away by car. Bakewell is maybe fifteen minutes. For a swim, Hathersage has an open-air pool. Castleton and Edale are within half an hour if you want proper hills.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV with satellite, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. There's an enclosed patio area with a barbecue.
