The Old Cobblers Cottage is on a quiet lane near the centre of Bakewell. It's a one-up-one-down sort of place. You're literally a minute's walk from the market square, but it feels tucked away.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. For two people it works well. It was done up by the previous owner who was an interior designer, so it's got a bit of a vintage feel. There's a log burner in the front room, which is nice when it's cold. The kitchen is modern. It's all clean and works as it should.
Being right in Bakewell is the main thing. You can walk to the shops, the bakeries for a pudding, and plenty of pubs. There's a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included.
For getting out, you're in the Peak District. You can walk straight out of the door into the countryside. Chatsworth House is about ten minutes by car. You can be walking on the Monsal Trail in five minutes. Buxton, Castleton and Hathersage are all within a half hour drive.
