Melville

Melville is a semi-detached cottage in Bakewell. It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxurious.

You've got a small enclosed garden out the back. It's private. There's parking for one car on the drive.

Inside, it's all on two levels. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so a bit steeper than you might get in a new house. We've put a stairgate at the top because of that. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Bakewell town centre is about a ten minute walk. That's where the shops and bakeries are. You probably know about the Bakewell Pudding. There's a local pub within walking distance too, about five minutes away.

For getting out, you're right in the Peak District. Chatsworth House is about a 15 minute drive. Haddon Hall is even closer. For walks, Monsal Head is a short drive away and a good starting point. The Monsal Trail is flat and good for bikes or with kids.
