Laburnum House is in Darley Dale, on the edge of Matlock. It's a Victorian terrace house so the layout is a bit unusual. There are a lot of stairs.
It sleeps seven. Five bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's big and functional rather than luxurious. It works well for a family or a group.
The ground floor is mostly the living room and a games area with a pool table. Then you go down a flight of stairs to the basement. That's where two single bedrooms are, plus a shower room and a snug with a PlayStation and a pinball machine. It's good for teenagers.
Upstairs on the first floor is the kitchen, a double bedroom, the main bathroom, and another living room with a dining table. Off that, a spiral staircase goes up to a twin bedroom.
Outside there's a courtyard garden with seating and a pizza oven. It's a residential street, so please be considerate of the neighbours and keep noise down after 10pm.
You're right in the Peak District. The area is good for walking and cycling. Chatsworth House is about 15 minutes' drive. Bakewell is the same. Matlock Bath is 10 minutes away. It's got cafes, pubs, and attractions like Gulliver's Kingdom and the Heights of Abraham. The High Peak Cycle Trail starts at Cromford Mill, and the National Tramway Museum is at Crich.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for one car on site. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. You can bring up to two dogs.
