Swallows Loft
Swallows Loft is a converted barn on our working farm in Cromford. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps when you've got a few people.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The conversion kept some of the old beams and stone, but it's properly insulated and warm.
You're on the farm, so you'll see the animals. The chickens sometimes wander past the garden, which is enclosed and private. There's parking right outside.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
There's a pub about a ten minute walk away. It serves food.
From here, you're close to a lot. Matlock and Matlock Bath are a few minutes' drive. Bakewell is about fifteen minutes. Carsington Water is good for a walk or a cycle. Chatsworth House is about twenty minutes away.
You're right in the Derwent Valley. The Peak District National Park is all around you for walking. For local history, Derwent Valley Mills is a UNESCO site and Cromford Mill is just down the road.
We've got two other cottages on the same farm if you need more space for a bigger group.
