Swallows Loft

Swallows Loft is on our farm just outside Cromford. It used to be a barn, but it's been done up as a cottage. It sleeps six people.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. The space works well for a family. Because it's in an old barn, the ceilings are high and the windows are big, so it feels quite light.

You're on a working farm. You'll see our sheep in the fields and the chickens wandering about the yard. Sometimes you can hear the tractors. The garden area is for you to use and it's enclosed.

Cromford village is about a mile away. There's a shop there and a couple of pubs. One is the Cromford Mill site, which is worth a look. Matlock Bath is a couple of miles down the road. It's got the attractions along the promenade and the cable cars up the Heights of Abraham.

You're right in the middle of things for the Peak District. Bakewell is about twenty minutes by car. Chatsworth House is about half an hour away. For a walk, Carsington Water is close, or you can get straight onto the trails up onto the moors.

Inside, you've got a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Parking is right outside.
