Godfrey Hole Cottage

Godfrey Hole Cottage is in Wirksworth, Derbyshire. It's attached to our house, Godfrey Hole House. We live next door. The cottage sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well kept and comfortable. The space is best for a couple or a small family.

It's got a woodburning stove. It's nice to light when you come in from a walk. There's a small, private garden out the back with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon. You can park right outside.

Wirksworth town centre is about a mile down the hill. It's a proper old market town with interesting streets to wander. There are a few pubs, cafes, and some independent shops. They've got a small cinema too. There's a Co-op for groceries.

For walking, you're close to the High Peak Trail and the Tissington Trail. They're old railway lines, so they're flat and good for bikes or pushchairs. Carsington Water is very close for a walk around the reservoir. You can do watersports there if that's your thing.

Within about half an hour's drive, you've got places like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Buxton and its opera house are about 25 minutes away. The Peak District National Park starts on your doorstep.

In terms of what's here, the cottage has WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's central heating. Sorry, no pets.
