The Creamery is in Kniveton. It's a barn we converted, next to our house. It's old, from about 1750, so the ceilings are low and beamed. It sleeps three in one bedroom, plus a sofa bed in the living area. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You get the whole walled garden to yourselves. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs. We allow up to two. There's plenty of outdoor space for them.
The local pub is about a five minute walk. They do food. The nearest shop is in Ashbourne, which is three miles away. That's your proper market town, with butchers, bakers, and supermarkets. It's known as the gateway to the Peak District.
From here, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. Dovedale and its stepping stones are about ten minutes by car. Carsington Water is close by too, if you want to try sailing or just walk around the reservoir.
You can get to a lot of the big Peak District spots within half an hour. That includes Chatsworth House, Bakewell, and Matlock. Buxton and Alton Towers are about forty minutes away.
It has Wi-Fi, a TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We've also got a highchair and bike storage if you need them.
You can book it together with Milkmaids Cottage next door if you've got a bigger group.
