Honeysuckle Cottage
Honeysuckle Cottage is a barn conversion on our land here in Mayfield. It's for two people. You get some nice views over the fields from the front.
It's a one-bedroom place with the bathroom off the bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. There are exposed beams, which look nice, but mind your head if you're tall.
The kitchen is fine for making meals in. There's a TV and WiFi. You've got your own little patio area with a table and a BBQ. Parking is right outside.
You can bring one dog. There's a field next to it they can run in, but you need to keep them on a lead on the lane.
There's a local pub about a mile away in the village. It does food. For a bigger shop, Ashbourne is about five minutes in the car. It's a proper market town with butchers and supermarkets.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District here. Walking and cycling routes start almost from the door. Carsington Water is close by if you want to sail or fish. For a day out, Ilam Park and Dovedale are very popular, or you can drive up to Peak District National Park proper. Alton Towers is about twenty minutes away if that's your thing.
It's a quiet spot. You'll hear birds and not much else.
