Honeysuckle Cottage
Honeysuckle Cottage is a barn conversion on our land near Mayfield. It's for two people. There's one bedroom and one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and in good order. The beams are all original. They're low in a couple of doorways, so you need to watch your head.
You get the garden to yourselves. There's a patio with furniture and a BBQ. Parking is right outside.
We allow one well-behaved dog.
The village shop and a local pub are a short walk away. For a bigger shop, Ashbourne is about five minutes by car. It's a nice market town with old streets, pubs, and places to eat.
You're at the edge of the Peak District here. Walking and cycling routes start from the door. Carsington Water is close by if you want to sail or windsurf. Fishing is available locally.
Alton Towers is roughly 20 minutes drive if that's your sort of thing. For a quieter day, places like Chatsworth House or Haddon Hall are within half an hour.
