Meadowside Cottage
Meadowside Cottage is in Swinscoe, Staffordshire. It's a converted stone barn from the 1700s. We did it up properly in 2021. The rating is 5 Star. That reflects the finish more than anything. It's not a palace, it's just done well.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. The beds have Hypnos mattresses and wool duvets. They're very good. The living room has a leather sofa and chairs. It's comfortable.
The garden is yours to use. It's big and private, looks out over fields. We live nearby on the farm. You're surrounded by about 40 acres.
The local shop is about a mile and a half away. Ashbourne is five miles. Good for food shops, pubs, that sort of thing. You can get most things there.
For walks, Dove Dale and the Manifold Valley are right on the doorstep. Proper Peak District scenery. Alton Towers is about five miles away if that's your sort of thing.
It's all on one level, so no stairs. There's parking right outside. It has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
