Meadowside Cottage
Meadowside Cottage is near Swinscoe, out in the countryside. It's a stone barn we converted a while ago. It's on our farm, so you're surrounded by fields. The garden's yours, and it's quite private.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower rooms. We put good mattresses in. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means everything works properly and it's comfortable.
One thing to note: it's all on the ground floor. So no stairs at all. That can be useful.
Outside, there's a patio with a BBQ and a big garden. You can park right outside. There's an electric car charger if you need it.
Inside, you've got the normal things. TV, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you're bringing a baby.
Location wise, it's quiet. The nearest proper shops are in Ashbourne, about five miles away. It's a nice market town with butchers, bakers, that sort of thing. Plenty of pubs there too.
For walking, you're right by the Peak District. Dovedale and the Manifold Valley are very close. Alton Towers is about five miles away if you've got kids who want that.
