Swallows

Swallows is a barn conversion on our farm in Mayfield. It's for two people. One bedroom, one en-suite bathroom.

The barn is comfortable. The living room views are over our farm fields, which is nice. You have your own little table outside the front door. There's also a shared lawn across the drive you can use.

It's a four star rating. It's clean and warm. The wifi works. Parking is right there.

We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.

The local pub is about a mile away in the village. It serves food. The nearest shop is about the same distance.

You're on the edge of the Peak District here. It's good walking country. Carsington Water is close by for sailing or cycling. The Dove Valley and Manifold Valley are lovely for a stroll.

Ashbourne is a few miles away. It's a proper market town with interesting shops and decent places to eat. Bakewell, famous for its pudding, and Chatsworth House are both within a half hour drive. Alton Towers is about 20 minutes away if that's your thing.
