Brynfields is in Shirley. It's a small village not far from the A52 between Ashbourne and Derby. The cottage is detached, so you've got your own space. The garden is big. It's a good spot to sit out.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which I think means it's well looked after and comfortable. You can bring up to two dogs, which a lot of places round here don't allow.
There's parking right there. Inside, there's a wood burner for cooler evenings, a TV, and wifi. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. We include all the bedding and towels. There's a highchair and a stairgate if you need them.
The village itself is quiet. There's a local pub. Ashbourne is about ten minutes away by car. It's a proper market town with shops and places to eat. It's known for antiques, but it's not cheap.
You're in a good position for getting out. The Peak District is right there. For walks, Dovedale and the Manifold Valley are very close. The Peak District National Park site has all the maps and routes. If you've got kids, Alton Towers is about twenty-five minutes drive. For a different day out, Chatsworth House is under half an hour away.
The stairs are a typical cottage staircase. They're fine, but they turn a corner and are a bit steeper towards the top. Just something to be aware of.
