Woodpecker Loft
Woodpecker Loft is a barn conversion in Hognaston, near Carsington Water. It's semi-detached. It sleeps up to ten people in five bedrooms. The main thing is that every bedroom has its own bathroom. That's quite handy with a big group.
The place has a 5 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-finished. The roof is high with big oak beams, which looks nice. There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. Outside there's a private, gated courtyard with a patio area and a barbecue. Parking is on site.
You can walk to Carsington Water in a few minutes. It's good for walking, cycling, birdwatching, or sailing if you're into that. The nearest pub and restaurant is about a mile and a half away. There's a shop two miles away in the village.
Ashbourne is a short drive. It's a market town, useful for shops and cafes. For walking, Dovedale and the White Peak area are close by. Places like Bakewell, Matlock Bath, and Chatsworth House are within about half an hour's drive. Alton Towers is also within that distance if that's your sort of thing.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair. Sorry, no pets.
