Valley View Barn is near Bradbourne in Derbyshire. The Peak District National Park starts just at the top of the lane. The views are good.
It sleeps up to 14 people. There are seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, so it's a big place. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a converted barn, so you get the oak beams and stone walls. The main living area is open-plan.
The stairs are open-tread and can be quite steep in parts. Something to be aware of if you've got older guests or small children.
You can walk straight from the door. You're right on the Tissington Trail for cycling. Dovedale and the Ilam Estate are about five minutes away by car. Good for a proper walk by the river.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got Ashbourne, Bakewell, Carsington Water, and Chatsworth House. Alton Towers is nearby if that's your sort of thing. The village of Tissington is worth a visit, especially during the well dressing season.
There's a pub and a shop about two miles away. The nearest village, Bradbourne, is half a mile up the road but it's tiny.
Facilities: The garden is enclosed. There's parking for several cars. We include all bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a highchair and cot if you need them. We allow booking for things like stag dos, but we ask that you're respectful of the neighbours and leave the place tidy.
A hot tub can be arranged for an extra charge. You need to book that in advance.
