Foxglove

This is Foxglove. It's a shepherd's hut on a field edge just outside Bradbourne, near Parwich. It's part of a pair called Meadows Huts, the other one being Forget-Me-Not.

It's one room, so it's open plan. There's a double bed and a bunk bed above it, so it sleeps four in one bedroom space. There's a kitchen area with an electric oven and hob, a small fridge, and a shower room.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well finished and comfortable, but remember it is one room. There's electric heating, WiFi, and a TV.

Outside there's a bit of enclosed patio with outdoor furniture, a barbecue, and a firepit. It looks out over the fields. You can park right next to it.

You can bring one dog. All bedding and towels are included.

It's very quiet here. The village pub is about a mile and a half walk. Ashbourne is the nearest proper town for supermarkets, about five miles.

You're right in the Peak District. The Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail are both close by for easy cycling or walking. Dovedale and the stepping stones are about a 15-minute drive. Carsington Water is nearby if you want sailing or windsurfing.

If you need a bigger day out, Alton Towers is 20 minutes away by car.

You can book both huts together if you're a group of up to eight.
