Milkmaids Cottage is in Kniveton. It's an old dairy, from about 1750. It's attached to our house.
It sleeps six, but that's in two bedrooms. One double and one twin. There's a sofa bed in the living area for the other two. So it's a full house with six. One bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The stairs are winding, typical for an old cottage. The front door has a small step into the cottage. The garden is enclosed. There's a stream at the bottom of it.
The Red Lion pub is down the hill, about a five minute walk. They do good food. Ashbourne is three miles away for shops and more places to eat.
You can walk straight out of the gate onto footpaths. Carsington Water is very close, about ten minutes by car. Good for sailing or a walk. Dovedale with the stepping stones is about twenty minutes' drive. Alton Towers is roughly half an hour away.
The cottage has parking, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair. No pets, sorry.
It can be booked with the place next door if you need space for more people.
