Jasmine Cottage
It's Jasmine Cottage. It's on my land just outside Mayfield. A small barn conversion. Sleeps three, with two bedrooms and a bathroom. It had a 4 Star rating last time it was inspected.
The main thing is the view. It looks out over the fields. You get a patio area to yourself with a BBQ. Parking is right there.
The beams are low in a couple of doorways. I'm over six foot and I remember to duck now. The stairs are up a spiral staircase, which saves space but isn't for everyone.
Inside, it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and wi-fi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The local pub is about a mile's walk. It does food. Ashbourne's a ten-minute drive for a bigger shop or more places to eat.
You're on the edge of the Peak District here. For walking, the Peak District National Park site has maps. Carsington Water is close for sailing or cycling. Alton Towers is about twenty minutes by car. Chatsworth House is maybe half an hour.
