Garden Farm Cottage
Garden Farm Cottage is a detached cottage near Ilam. It's part of our seven-acre farm and looks out over fields towards Ilam Hall Country Park. The view is probably the best thing about it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. One of the bedrooms and its bathroom is on the ground floor, which is handy if stairs are a problem. The stairs up to the other bedroom aren't steep, they're just normal stairs.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That mostly means it's clean, comfortable, and everything is in good order. There's Wi-Fi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV and parking right outside.
You can bring one dog. We have a stairgate available if you need it.
The location is quiet. You can walk straight from the door into the parkland and fields. For a proper walk, Dovedale and the stepping stones are about a mile away. The Manifold Valley is just down the road too.
The nearest pub is a mile away in Ilam village. The nearest shop for groceries is five miles away in Ashbourne.
If you want to go out, Ashbourne is a small market town about a fifteen minute drive. Carsington Water is good for sailing or a walk around the reservoir and is about twenty minutes by car. Alton Towers is about eight miles away, so maybe twenty minutes depending on traffic.
