This is Broadmeadows Farm. It's a big detached farmhouse. It sleeps twelve people in five bedrooms. There are two bathrooms.
It's in Butterton in Staffordshire. You're up on the side of the Manifold Valley, so the view is over fields and hills.
The house is from about 1810. It's part of a working farm. You'll see cows in the fields around. The lane up to it is a farm track, so it's quiet.
Inside, it's a 4 Star place. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's got things like a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. There's a games room.
The stairs are standard for an old house. Some are a bit steeper than modern ones.
Butterton village is a mile away. There's a pub there. The nearest shop for groceries is about seven miles, so you need to come prepared.
You can walk straight from the door into the Manifold Valley. The Manifold Trail is nearby. It's an old railway line, so it's flat and good for cycling or walking. You can hire bikes locally. For other walks, Peak District National Park has good information.
By car, you can get to a lot in under half an hour. Dovedale and Ilam Park are close. Ashbourne, Bakewell, and Buxton are all within reach. Alton Towers is about twenty-five minutes away. Carsington Water is nearby if you want sailing or windsurfing.
In terms of facilities, it's all there. Bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair. There's plenty of parking. No pets, sorry.
