The Stable is in Mixon. It's a barn conversion on our farm. You're down a valley here, along a farm track we keep in good condition. It's very quiet. The views are good, just fields and the valley sides.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's all on one level inside, open plan.
You can walk straight out from the door onto the footpaths. You're right in the Peak District National Park.
A few things are close by. Froghall Wharf and the steam railway at Foxfield are about ten minutes in the car. Alton Towers is roughly the same drive, about ten minutes.
For bigger days out, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both within a 30 minute drive. Sudbury Hall is about the same. The Gladstone Pottery Museum and Waterworld are a bit further, maybe 25 minutes.
Facilities: it's got parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ you can use. No pets, sorry.
The nearest pub is about two miles away in Waterhouses. The nearest shop for a proper grocery shop is four miles, in Leek.
