Heath View is in Cheddleton, Staffordshire. It's attached to our farmhouse, so we're next door, but you have your own place. You get the garden and the patio, which looks out over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two big bedrooms, both with their own shower room. The stairs are fine, but they're quite a wide, sweeping staircase because of the old farmhouse layout.
The living room has a wood burner. There's a modern kitchen and a utility room with a washing machine. We've had it rated as 4 Star. It's comfortable, but it's not a show home.
You're about a mile from the village shop and pub. Leek is ten minutes by car. It's a market town with cafes and supermarkets, and some good antique shops if that's your thing.
From the door, you can walk straight onto footpaths. For a proper walk, The Roaches are about ten miles away. It's good for climbing. Rudyard Lake is eight miles for sailing or a stroll.
Within half an hour, you've got Alton Towers, the Churnet Valley Railway, and Consall Nature Park. The Peak District is easy to get to. Bakewell and Chatsworth are probably 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
Facilities: parking right outside, wheelchair accessible entrance, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
