Lake Cottage

Lake Cottage is in Lask Edge, just inside the Staffordshire border. It's on an estate with a few other properties, but it's separate. The cottage itself is single-storey, so everything is on the ground floor. It sleeps two.

It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. It's quite compact, but it's got everything you need. There's a Hypnos double bed and an en-suite shower. The shower has underfloor heating. The main room is open plan, with the kitchen area at one end.

Outside, you have your own little patio area. The estate has large shared gardens you can use, with views over the fields. There's a fishing lake on site, and a shared indoor pool and hot tub you can book time in. Parking is right outside.

The location is quiet. It's rural, but you're only about ten minutes' drive from Leek. Leek is a decent market town with shops and pubs. It's known for having a lot of flower displays.

You're right on the edge of the Peak District. The main park boundary is about a 20 minute drive. Alton Towers is about 25 minutes away. For a day out, Biddulph Grange Garden is close, and it's a National Trust property. Little Moreton Hall, that famous wonky Tudor house, is about four miles away.

If you want to go further into the Peak District, Bakewell, Chatsworth, and the walking around there are within a 30 to 40 minute drive. The Peak District National Park website is good for planning walks.

Facilities: there's a TV, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. The kitchen has the basics. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. No pets.
