Heritage Wharf is in Scholar Green. It's a detached house right on the side of the Macclesfield Canal. You get good views over the water and the fields.
It sleeps eleven people. Five bedrooms and three bathrooms, so it's fairly spacious. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and clean, but not luxurious.
The garden is fenced, which is good if you've got kids. There's a patio area too. Parking is on site.
The local pub is about 200 yards away. They serve food. There's a small shop at the boatyard next door, and a village shop is three quarters of a mile.
You can hire a day boat on the canal from just down the towpath, and there's fishing nearby too.
Little Moreton Hall is about a mile from the door. It's a Tudor manor house, all wonky timber. The Peak District is about ten miles away for walking. Congleton is five miles for supermarkets.
Within half an hour's drive you've got a few things. Alton Towers is about twenty miles. The Potteries, around Stoke, are eight miles for shopping and the Waterworld leisure centre. Jodrell Bank is nearby if you like that sort of thing.
The house has a woodburning stove, wifi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
