Drumble Lodge

Drumble Lodge is out at Congleton Edge. It's a detached lodge on a working farm at the end of the lane. You'll be out on your own out there.

It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating which is about right. It's clean and modern inside.

Being on a farm means you'll see the sheep and goats in the paddock next door. Cows in the fields further down. It's quiet. You'll hear owls at night. The Wi-Fi is decent though, if you need it.

The lounge is open plan. There's a woodburner for chilly evenings. The patio doors open onto your own garden area with seating.

The farm is a wedding venue, so sometimes there will be a wedding party somewhere on the land. It doesn't come right up to the lodge. You might hear a bit of music in the distance on a Saturday afternoon. It's usually wrapped up by 11.

There's a pub about a ten minute walk away. They do food and allow dogs.

Congleton town is a ten minute drive for shops and supermarkets. The train station there gets you into Manchester in under an hour.

For local walks, you've got The Biddulph Grange Garden and Little Moreton Hall nearby. Mow Cop Castle is a good walk from the lodge, up on the hill. The Peak District is about half an hour's drive if you want proper hills.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for two cars right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
