Hillcrest House
Hillcrest House is in Brown Edge, Staffordshire. It's a big detached house that sleeps eighteen, so it's really for groups and big families.
There are six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own ensuite, which makes things easier with that many people. One bedroom is on the ground floor with its own little kitchen area, which is handy if you've got someone who struggles with stairs.
The top floor is set up for five people, so it’s a good spot if you've got older kids or another couple who want their own space.
Downstairs is open plan: kitchen, dining, living area. There's a large table and a wood burner. It's renovated, clean, and has a 4 Star rating.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking on site. It says pets are allowed, up to four.
You're about a hundred yards from a village pub. There's a shop and post office close by. For a bigger supermarket or the cinema, you'd go into Hanley which is about five miles.
Location wise, you’re on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands. The Peak District National Park is about a twenty minute drive for walking. Alton Towers is seventeen miles away if you want that.
For a day out, Biddulph Grange Garden is four miles and run by the National Trust. Trentham Gardens is about eleven miles. Stoke-on-Trent, for the pottery museums, is eight miles.
Facilities are pretty standard: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair included. Bedding and towels are provided. The property is listed as Christmas themed, which just means it's decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
