The Old Rectory

The Old Rectory is in Leek, Staffordshire. It's a big detached house that sleeps sixteen. You get the whole place, obviously.

It's got eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Every bedroom has an en-suite, apart from two on the top floor that share one bathroom. Those two also have an interconnecting door, which works if you've got younger kids. The rating is 5 Star, so it's well-equipped. It's clean and comfortable.

The garden is enclosed and private. There's a big table that seats everyone, a barbecue, and a hot tub that fits about seven. It's a good space if you've got a group.

Inside, the kitchen is big. It's got two dishwashers, plenty of fridge space, and a wine fridge. It opens out into a dining area with a wood burner. There's also a separate formal dining room. You've got a large living room with another wood burner, and a games room with a pool table and some board games.

The stairs are fine. It's a tall house, so there are a few floors.

Leek itself is a proper town. You've got shops, pubs, places to eat. It's on the edge of the Peak District. For walks, The Peak District National Park is right there. The Roaches are about a twenty minute drive. Tittesworth Reservoir is close by.

Within about half an hour you've got Alton Towers theme park. Trentham Estate and Monkey Forest are in that direction too, near Stoke. There's also the RSPB Coombes Valley nature reserve.

Facilities wise: everything listed is included. Bedding, towels, washing machine, Wi-Fi, TVs. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the drive.
