Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is in Onecote, up in the Staffordshire moorlands. It's attached to our house, but you've got your own front door and a private garden out the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steeper than modern ones.
You're in walking country straight from the door. The River Hamps valley is right there, and you can walk into the Manifold Valley. For bikes, there's cycle hire four miles away on the Manifold Trail.
Leek is about seven miles. It's a proper market town with some interesting antique shops. Alton Towers is within a twenty minute drive if that's your sort of thing. The Churnet Valley Railway is about the same distance.
Further afield, within about half an hour, you've got Stoke-on-Trent for the pottery museums, Trentham Gardens, and the Monkey Forest. Chatsworth House is also about half an hour's drive.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. We supply the wood. It’s got WiFi, a dishwasher, and parking right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
The nearest shop and a place to eat are about four miles away in Longnor, so you'll want to plan for that.
