This is Riverview Cottage in Hulme End. It's a stone cottage from the 1880s. Detached, so it's just you. There's a good sized garden out the back that's fully enclosed, which is handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well kitted out and comfortable. We've put in things like a stairgate and a cot because we know they're useful.
The cottage is right on the edge of the River Manifold. You can fish for free from the bank there, if that's your thing. More than anything, it's quiet. You get the sound of the river.
You're about 250 yards from the pub. It's an old coaching inn, does decent food. The shop is there too.
For getting out, you can't really beat it. The Manifold Trail for walking and cycling starts right at the door. The Tissington Trail is two miles away in Hartington. The Roaches, for a proper walk or a climb, is 15 minutes by car.
Within half an hour you've got a lot. Ashbourne and Leek are market towns. Buxton has the opera house. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are about 30 minutes. So is Alton Towers, if you've got kids who want that. Castleton and Eyam are just a bit further.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's an electric vehicle charger on site. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
