Throwley Cottage is in Calton, Staffordshire. It's proper countryside. You get fields all around you.
It sleeps seven across three bedrooms. There's a double, a twin, and the third room has a double and a single bed. So it works for a bigger group. You get two bathrooms, one of which is a shower room downstairs.
The cottage is detached, so it's just you. The garden is fenced, so it's secure for kids or dogs. You can bring up to three pets. There's plenty of parking.
Inside, it's traditional. The stairs are cottage stairs. There's an open fire in the living room. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's got a good standard but it's not a show home. It's comfortable.
You're about four miles from the nearest pub that does food, so you'll want a car. It's on a working farm, so you might see animals about.
For things to do, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. Dovedale is close. For walking and cycling, the Manifold Trail and Tissington Trail are nearby. Alton Towers is about a fifteen minute drive if that's your sort of thing.
If you're planning walks or days out in the area, these sites are useful: Peak District National Park and National Trust Peak District.
