Tom Boys Cottage

This is Tom Boys Cottage. It's in Biggin, which in Derbyshire. It's a stone cottage, part of a farmstead called Wolfscote Grange. It's for four people. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable.

The inside is open plan and feels light. There are wooden beams. The bathroom is modern. Outside, there's a patio courtyard. From there, a bit of grassy woodland leads down to a wildlife pond. The views across the valley towards Hartington are very good.

You're on a working farm. It has a nature reserve and a farm trail you can walk. Kids can feed the chickens, and there are lambs in spring. You'll see hares and buzzards. The walking access from the door is the main point.

Hartington village is about a mile. It's got a shop, a couple of decent pubs, and a café that does cream teas. You can walk to the River Dove from the cottage, it's not far.

For a day out, the Tissington Trail for cycling is about four miles away. Carsington Water is nearby for sailing. Chatsworth House is about a 30 minute drive. So is Haddon Hall. Alton Towers is also within half an hour if that's your thing. Buxton with its opera house is a short drive.

You're right on the edge of the Peak District. So the walking and cycling from the door is what you're here for.

What's here: all bedding, WiFi, a TV, parking. There's a BBQ, a highchair and a cot if you need them. You can bring one dog. There's bike storage.

If you want to book for a bigger group, you can book this cottage together with the others on the farm.
