Tom Boys Cottage is on our farm in Biggin, in the Peak District. It's converted from an old stone barn. You get your own patio and a bit of garden with a wildlife pond. It looks out over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's open plan downstairs, with the beams left in. The spa bathroom is new.
You're on the farm here. The kids can help feed the chickens, and the lambs in spring if you're here then. There's a farm trail you can walk with wildlife like hares and buzzards. You can walk straight from the door into the Dove Valley. Hartington village is a short drive away, it has a couple of good pubs and a shop.
The Tissington Trail for cycling is about four miles. Carsington Water is close for sailing. For a big day out, Chatsworth House is about 40 minutes by car. So is Haddon Hall. Buxton, with the Opera House, is half an hour.
Facilities wise: there's parking by the cottage, a TV, WiFi, a cot and highchair if you need them, and bedding is included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
