Lean Low Holiday Cottage

Lean Low Cottage is on our farm, just outside Hartington. It's attached to our side of the house. You get a good view over the fields from the front.

It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms upstairs, one downstairs, and two bathrooms. It's a converted barn, so the rooms feel big. The ceilings are high. The stairs are stone and a bit narrow, that's just how it was built.

It's a proper working farm. So you'll see the stock, and we're moving about during the day. It's not noisy, but it's not silent either. There's a wood burner in the lounge. We leave some wood for you to get started.

You've got a patio and garden area that's yours. There's parking right next to the cottage. Inside, it's got what you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair on request.

You can bring one dog. We just ask that they stay downstairs and off the furniture.

Hartington village is about a mile down the lane. There's a pub, a shop for basics, and a decent village hall cafe. The Manifold Track is right on the doorstep for walking or cycling. You can ride to Hulme End or up towards Parsley Hay without going on a road.

If you want to go out, Buxton is about twenty minutes by car. Bakewell is about the same. The Heights of Abraham at Matlock Bath are within half an hour. For a bigger day out, Chatsworth House is probably 35 minutes away.
