Damsels Bower is in Over Haddon, just outside Bakewell. It's a limestone barn converted into a house, so the ceilings are very high. There's a gallery landing that looks down into the main living area. One of the bedrooms is up there too, overlooking the space below.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. You can bring one dog.
The house is set around a courtyard. You get a patio area and the use of the shared garden.
You're right on the edge of Lathkill Dale. You can walk straight out of the door onto the nature reserve and into the Peak District. For a traffic-free cycle or walk, the Monsal Trail starts about four miles away, heading towards Buxton.
The village has a good pub that does food, a few minutes' walk away. Bakewell is two miles for shops and everything else. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both about a fifteen minute drive. You can get to places like Castleton, Eyam, or Hathersage within half an hour.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair.
