Six Litton Mill

Six Litton Mill is in the old textile mill building at Cressbrook, right on the River Wye. It's one of a number of apartments in the converted mill. Your bit is on the ground floor.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The 5 Star rating means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Because it's a ground floor apartment in an old mill, some doorways are a bit low. Just mind your head.

The main living space is open plan. Big windows look out over the river and the old mill workings. You can hear the water from inside. It's quite loud sometimes, but most people like it.

The Monsal Trail starts right outside the door. It's a flat path along the old railway line, good for walking and cycling. You can go through the old tunnels. Peak District National Park Monsal Trail page.

The village of Litton is up the hill. It's got a pub, a community shop, and some old stocks on the green. Tideswell is about four miles away. It has a big church they call the 'Cathedral of the Peak', plus bakeries and a few pubs.

For bigger towns, Bakewell and Buxton are 15 minutes by car. Castleton and Mam Tor are also close. Good walking straight from the door, in all directions.

Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but some internal doors are standard width. No pets.
