Butterfield Cottage

Butterfield Cottage is in Tideswell. It's a terraced house on the edge of the village, about a five minute walk to the shops and pubs. The front is painted pink, so you can't miss it.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite to a twin room which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. The stairs are normal, no problems there.

Downstairs is open plan. There's a wood burner in the living area, which is nice in the cooler months. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Outside, there's a front patio with a table and a back garden with a bench and a covered bit for storing bikes. The back gate opens straight onto the village playground and the car park, which is useful.

Tideswell itself has a Co-op, a few pubs, cafes and a chippy. The church, St John's, is very grand. They call it the cathedral of the Peak.

For walking, you're right in the middle of it. The Monsal Trail is close by for easy, flat cycling. The High Peak Trail is nearby too. Peak District National Park has all the maps and routes. Chatsworth House is about a fifteen minute drive. Buxton, with the Opera House and Pavilion Gardens, is twenty minutes. Bakewell is maybe twenty five minutes if the traffic is light.

You can bring two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV.
