Jeremiah Cottage is in Bradwell village. It's an end-terrace cottage built from that grey Peak District stone.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's warm. There's a woodburning stove in the front room, which is nice in the evening.
You can walk to everything in the village. There's a small supermarket, a bakery, a fish and chip shop, and the Bradwell ice cream place is famous locally. There are four pubs, all within walking distance. They all do food and are fine with dogs and muddy boots.
The walking is the main thing. You can start right from the door. There's a popular walk straight to Castleton, which takes a couple of hours. You can see Mam Tor from the back bedroom window. For a longer day, the Peak District National Park website has all the routes.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. There's a small enclosed garden at the back. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. We leave bowls and a treat for them.
If you're driving, Castleton is about ten minutes away. Bakewell is about twenty minutes. Chatsworth House is around half an hour. The Hope Valley railway line is close if you want to go to Sheffield or Manchester without the car.
