Lillegarth is our place in Bradwell, up in the Hope Valley. It's an old stone cottage from the 1700s. It was two cottages knocked into one, so the layout is a bit up and down. There are steps between some rooms and the doorways are low in places, mind your head.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable. There's a wood burner for winter, and a good sized garden with a summerhouse. The view from up there is the main thing. You look right out over the valley.
Bradwell village is a proper old Peak District village, narrow lanes and steep hills. There's a couple of pubs that do food, a shop, a post office, and a chip shop. It's all within walking distance.
For getting out, you're right in the middle of it. You can walk straight from the door onto the paths. Castleton is about ten minutes by car, same for Hathersage. Hathersage has an outdoor swimming pool that's open in summer. Bakewell is about twenty minutes. Chatsworth is just a bit further on from there.
Facilities wise: it's got the things you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs.
