Cunliffe Cottage
Cunliffe Cottage is on our farm just outside Hathersage. It's detached, down a private drive. We live next door if you need anything.
It's a bungalow, so everything's on the ground floor. That's handy if stairs are a problem. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite. We had it all redone in 2020, so it's in good nick. It's got underfloor heating, which is great when you come in from a walk. The views from the windows are just fields and hills.
There's an enclosed patio with a table and chairs. Parking isn't an issue, you can fit a couple of cars right outside.
The village centre is about a mile away. You can walk it if you don't mind a bit of a road. There's a shop, a few pubs that do food, and an outdoor heated swimming pool that's open in summer. The train station's there too, so you can get to Sheffield or Manchester if you want.
You're right in the Peak District here. Stanage Edge is very close for walking or climbing. Castleton is about five miles away for the caves. Bakewell and Chatsworth House are roughly twenty minutes by car. The Peak District National Park site has good information for planning walks.
Inside, there's a wood burner, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and wifi. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed. All the bedding and towels are included.
