Winhill Cottage is a detached chalet just outside of Bamford, right in the Peak District. It's on our bit of land, but it's very private. The view is the main thing. You're looking out over the Hope Valley skyline.
It sleeps four. There's one bedroom upstairs with a double bed. Downstairs in the main living space, there's a double sofa bed. So it works for a family with kids or two couples who don't mind the shared bedroom. There are two shower rooms, which is handy.
You can walk straight from the door. You can get up on to the high paths or walk down to the Ladybower reservoirs. It's a good base for climbing or cycling if you're into that. The village shop is about a mile and a half away, so you'll want to bring some supplies with you.
The local pub is a mile down the road. They do food. There's a lot of riding stables around if you want to go horse riding. For a day out, Chatsworth House is close by. Bakewell is good for a wander and yes, you should try a Bakewell pudding.
For facilities, it's got what you need. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV. There's a patio with a barbecue and a bit of garden. You can park right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No dogs, sorry.
