Mushroom Cottage
Mushroom Cottage is a little detached place in Castleton. It's right at the edge of the village so it feels quiet, but you can walk to everything in a few minutes.
It's just for two people. There's one bedroom upstairs and a bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-kept.
Outside, you have your own enclosed patio with a table, chairs, and a barbecue. There's a shed for bike storage if you're bringing them.
The cottage has WiFi, a washing machine, and all your bedding and towels are here.
Don't bring pets. Sorry.
The whole Peak District is right there. You can walk straight out onto the hills. Mam Tor is one of the well-known walks. For caves, you've got Peak Cavern right in the village, and Speedwell Cavern is short drive away. Peak District National Park has all the maps and information. Castleton itself is good for an afternoon, with a few pubs and a couple of shops.
For other things to do, Chatsworth House is about a 30 minute drive. Bakewell is a bit closer. If you're into cycling or walking, the trails around here are good.
