Mushroom Cottage

This is Mushroom Cottage. It's in Castleton, right on the edge of the village. It's a detached barn conversion, so you're on your own. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The main thing is the view. You look straight out across the Hope Valley to Win Hill. The garden is enclosed and private. There's a deck up on the banking where you can sit and look at it all.

Inside, it's small and cosy. There's an electric wood burner effect stove in the living room. It's warm. The stairs are steep and spiral, like in the old barn. You just need to be a bit careful on them.

You can walk into the village centre in about five minutes. There's a shop, a few places to eat, and five pubs. Peveril Castle and Peak Cavern are right there. It's a proper walking area. Mam Tor is basically on the doorstep.

Within half an hour you can get to Chatsworth House, the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath, or Lyme Park. Buxton is about ten miles away. There's a golf course a few miles away, and pony trekking too.

What's here: an enclosed garden, a BBQ, space to store bicycles, WiFi, a washing machine, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's a shower, not a bath. No pets.
