Fern Cottage is in Bradwell, in the Peak District. It's an end-of-terrace cottage with three floors. We had it all renovated a few years ago.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. There's a wood burner in the main living room.
The stairs are fairly steep and a bit narrow, just so you know.
Outside, there's a small enclosed patio at the front. It looks out over the village rooftops towards Win Hill. Good spot for a morning coffee.
Bradwell itself is a proper walking village, built on a hillside. The lanes are narrow. You've got a couple of decent pubs about a two minute walk away, they do food. There's also a shop, a chippy, and an ice cream place that's quite well known.
From the door, you can walk straight out onto the hills. Mam Tor and Bradwell Edge are the famous local viewpoints, with great paths to them.
Castleton and Tideswell are about ten minutes by car. Hathersage is about the same, they have an outdoor heated pool there in summer.
Bakewell, Chatsworth House, and Buxton are all within half an hour's drive. Alton Towers is about an hour away.
The cottage has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two well-behaved dogs.
