Ryecroft is on the edge of Brough, just off the A625. It's at the end of a flat, gated track, so you're away from any traffic. It's a detached cottage, so you've got space all around you. The views are across fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. One pet is welcome.
The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs or if you have kids. There are a couple of fruit trees. You can sit out there and just hear the birds.
For a walk, you can head straight out from the cottage onto the local paths. Castleton is about three miles away. That's where you get the big hills like Mam Tor. The National Trust Peak District site has good walking ideas. Winnats Pass is there, and the show caves like Treak Cliff.
Bakewell is about fifteen minutes by car. Chatsworth House is roughly twenty minutes away. Buxton is about half an hour. There's golf and horse riding nearby if you want to organise that.
The nearest shop is in Hope, just over a mile away. There's a pub within walking distance, about three quarters of a mile. It serves food.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. There's a washing machine, a cot and highchair if needed, and parking right outside. All the bedding is included.
